AFTERCARE
First 24–48 Hours
1. Leave the bandage on for 2–4 hours
2. Wash your hands thoroughly with unscented soap before touching the tattoo.
3. Remove the bandage gently
4. Clean the tattoo with lukewarm water and fragrance-free, antibacterial soap (like Dial Gold ). Use
clean fingertips—no washcloths or loofahs.
5. Pat dry with a clean paper towel (don’t rub).
6. 2. Apply a thin layer of fragrance-free moisturizer after washing:
• Recommended: Aquaphor, Hustle Butter, CeraVe Healing Ointment, or unscented lotion.
• Less is more—your tattoo should look slightly glossy, not gooey.
Days 1–14 (The Healing Phase)
1. Wash the tattoo 2–3 times daily with the same gentle method.
2. Apply a thin layer of fragrance-free moisturizer after washing:
• Recommended: Aquaphor, Hustle Butter, CeraVe Healing Ointment, or unscented lotion.
• Less is more—your tattoo should look slightly glossy, not gooey.
Pro Tip : For the first three nights of new tattoo
• Wash, Dry, Apply a thin layer of Moisturizer
• Then wrap with Cling Wrap ( Tape Cling Wrap with Medical tape if necessary )
• Leave wrap on while you Sleep
• This prevents Plasma from Drying on tattoo while sleeping
• This also prevents Plasma leaking and staining bed sheets
3. Wear loose, breathable clothing over the area. No tight jeans or wool.
4. No soaking—avoid baths, pools, hot tubs, or oceans for at least 2 weeks.
5. No scratching or picking—even if it itches or peels. Slap gently if needed.
6. Avoid direct sun—keep covered or use sunscreen (SPF 30+) after 2–3 weeks.
What to Expect
• Days 1–4: Oozing (plasma, ink, blood) is normal.
• Days 4–7: Itching, flaking, or scabbing—don’t pick.
• Days 7–14: Scabs fall off naturally. Skin may look dull or cloudy.
• Week 3+: Fully healed externally; inner layers heal up to 3–6 months.
Red Flags (Contact a Doctor If)
• Excessive redness, swelling, or heat after 48 hours
• Pus or foul odor
• Fever or chills
• Raised, itchy rash (possible allergic reaction)
Long-Term Care
• Moisturize daily (especially in dry climates).
• Use sunscreen (SPF 30+) every time you expose the tattoo—sun fades ink fast.
Artist Tip: Healing varies person to person with different skin types, location, and size. When in doubt,
